St Jude's 5 congregation welcomes all Christians and also anyone who is exploring questions of faith. Many of us are in our twenties and thirties and work professionally in different parts of Melbourne.

At 5, we believe that the Bible is God's Word to us and we are committed to hearing it read, studying its meaning and shaping our lives by it. We study the Bible book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse as we believe God has put it together this way for our benefit. We don't promote blind faith and our sermons aim to explain the Bible in its historical context and to explore the complex questions it sometimes raises for us.

We love to pray and share in fellowship together. Many nights after our church service a group of us will head down Lygon St for dinner and we love to welcome newcomers to join us for this and our other social activities.

We also want to make a positive difference to the city of Melbourne and to show people how great it is to follow Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. We believe that God has given us lots of great skills, resources and passions to do this.
