Helping families grow in faith together

Jesus said that children can be friends with him too, and that adults have a lot to learn from children about relating to God. We encourage families to participate together in the life of the church, while also providing separate Bible-based programs specifically for kids.

Our goals are:

  • To support St Jude's parents as they teach their children about God at home and in the church

  • To encourage St Jude's children to grow in understanding and in expressing their faith

  • To offer the message of Jesus to children in our local community

Children are loved and valued here and, like adults, they are invited to learn, participate and contribute.

Kids' Film & Pizza Nights

Each term we schedule a social event for Grades 3-6 kids on a Saturday evening. We start with games, eat lots of pizza, then watch a G-rated movie. After that more fun activities. Kids from St Jude's and other local churches invite their friends along - the more the merrier!

Playgroup

10-11.30am on Wednesdays in school terms
Playgroups for preschoolers are a fantastic means of connecting with other people who are at a similar life stage. St Jude's Playgroup meets in a big cheery space under the church. There are a variety of activities for children to suit the range of ages. Parents can interact with the kids, chat with each other and have a decent cup of plunger coffee!
