Part of the St Jude’s Renew Vision is ‘Seeking the Spiritual Renewal of The World’. We do this by:
– Sending a number of Global Mission Partners to serve in different parts of the world. – Committing 5% of our annual budget towards the direct support of our Global Mission Partners. – Developing special links with a few special regions around the world. Pakistan and Northern India is our first Region of Interest. – Conducting short-term global mission trips:
- Hope in the Himalayas – 2011 to Mussoorie in Northern India in September.
- Thailand Global Mission Trip- July 2011. Urban Soul members to visit refugee camps and orphanages.
– Committing another 3% each year to assist with the relief of global poverty, by supporting a number of projects, as well as emergency relief. Current projects include:
- MUS in Mussoorie, India: a small local project to initiate various community development programs in isolated villages. Such things as health clinics, education & income generation.
- Buying seed to help women in the Middle East learn how to develop self-sustainable vegetable gardens, and provide an income for families.
- Supporting an orphanage in Indonesia in Kupang (Rosalin Orphanage).
- The provision of solar lighting in schools in Tanzania through Anglicord.
- Emergency disaster relief as it occurs around the world.
